Dr. Donna Oti founded CEI Consultants in 2004 as a result of the high demand for her facilitation services. During more than 20 years as a journalist, educator, and trainer, Donna has served as a communication consultant for a number of federal, corporate and non-profit clients in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. As a journalists, she covered White House Press Briefings on Global Climate Change for McGraw-Hill Publishing Company. She also served as a Fellow in the Department of Defense where she worked with the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs and Pentagon Spokeperson.
As an educator she was an associate professor at the University of Maryland University College, where she conducted workshops to help adjunct faculty provide better feedback to students' writing. The principles taught in those workshops reflect efffective tools for teaching writers and coaching supervisors to offer more effective feedback.
Donna graduated from Howard University with a doctorate in Mass Communication. She has received awards for her research from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication and the Eastern Communication Association.
